Mission

The Richmond Choral Society is a vocally accomplished ensemble that presents high-caliber choral music of many different genres that bridges cultural differences and draws people together in celebration of the art of music.

Vision

The Richmond Choral Society strives to be a premier ensemble committed to excellence in performance of a diverse repertoire that will create opportunities throughout the community for fostering choral arts appreciation and education in affordable and accessible venues.

Achievement of this vision is accomplished through

  • Constant pursuit of new and challenging experiences in choral music

  • Outreach and education particularly to student groups that would not normally have an opportunity to experience a variety of choral repertoire

  • Annual comprehensive auditions for all members

  • Rigorous weekly rehearsals
